Concert at Milkboy Coffee

MilkBoy Coffee and I teamed up to host a Benefit Show in support of my joining Peru’s Challenge Volunteer Team this August for 5 weeks!

The show as a huge success! We were so lucky to have such a diverse line-up for our performances, and quite the array of raffle items to give away!

We raised over $1,200.00 from the event and couldn't be more THRILLED about it! Thank you so much to the bands and the very cool crowd that came to support my joining Peru’s Challenge, it meant so much to me.

The Bands started around 8PM with an incredible performance by the Deanny V's. These guys were off the charts! John, the amazing lead singer/guitarist, really rocked the mic and the electric guitar! John and the gang really had fun on stage and really set the tone for the night- fun, energetic, light-hearted, and all about the music!  They just graduated from Radnor High School and sound as if they could be headlining tours across the country! I was beyond impressed and BEGGED them to record an album; hopefully my wish will be granted J

Next up we have Jim George who really got the house moving with his enthusiasm and his sky-rocketing energy. From the moment he set foot on stage, Jim instantly lifted the energy of the space and added a nice element of fun to his performance. He really gave a Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and a little Black Crows kind of feel. I was completely compelled to dance to every song he played!

After feeling a nice high from Jim, Aunt Ange, an organic gypsy rock band, took the stage and put us into a “chilled out groove.” These guys came all the way from New York to play for the cause and really delivered! Their sound is super unique and very moving. Influenced by bands such Radiohead and Elliot Smith, you can really feel the music in your bones and your soul when these guys play.

Last but certainly not least, Philly sensation Max Seidman took the stage and really impressed! He has great vocals, a really great, instantly likeable sound, and you’ll definitely want to buy his CD after you hear just one song. I picked one up just before I left and have been listening to it all morning!

Inspired by artists such as Neil Young, Nick Drake, Adam Duritz and Ryan Adams, his passion for songwriting really shines when he gives you insight into his songs and why he wrote them.

The night was really awesome and I am so grateful to everyone who came to support!

A special thanks to MilkBoy for housing the event! Without their perfect venue, this couldn't have happened!
